A family from Damascus, far from home.
In 2018, in the metro Detroit area, our family set out with a simple wish: to share the culture and heritage we carried with us from Damascus — honestly, and without compromise. It began with sweets, the way so many Syrian stories do, made and shared the way we'd always known.
Word spread. A tray of sweets became a wholesale business, and that became a name people in the Dearborn area trust. Two generations now work side by side, sourcing from Syria and across the region — Turkey, Egypt, the Gulf and beyond — the same brands and makers our community knows and trusts. Every product is 100% halal, because for us this was never just a business. It was always a way to keep home close.
Named after the smallest member of our family.
Kareem Mart carries the name of the youngest among us — a reminder that everything we build is for the next generation, and a promise to keep our roots alive for the ones who'll carry them forward.
